When needed, Dr. Brian J. Waggle will treat a dental emergency in Zanesville, Ohio. When the mouth becomes injured or the teeth become fractured or get knocked out, it can be easy to panic. However, it is very important to keep your head and remember a few simple things:
- If the tooth has fallen out, try to recover it and place it back into its socket. If the tooth won’t stay, keep it in a cup of milk or the victim’s saliva until you are able to see a dentist. Do not touch the root of the tooth if possible.
- If you notice a fracture in a tooth, avoid eating on that side of the mouth and visit the dentist as soon as possible.
- If you’ve received an injury to the head (from a car/bike accident, playing sports, etc.) that has also affected your teeth, visit the emergency room as soon as possible.
Depending on the severity of your injury, treatment could include a root canal, extraction or other dental procedure. If you are experiencing any pain in your teeth or gums or if you have a dental emergency, such as a knocked-out, dislodged or fractured tooth, please call 740-454-6644 or visit Northpointe Dental as soon as possible.
